At Chiseled Outdoors we specialize in HAND CARVED relief woodcarvings ranging from unique WALL ART SCENES & SIGNS to large custom FIREPLACE MANTELS.
We focus mostly on WILDLIFE INSPIRED DESIGNS as well as ARCHITECTURE and PROPERTY PORTRAITS, but we are open to any commission request.

We use a combination of traditional gouges and rotary tools to create our carvings. There is no "automated" assistance here, each piece is uniquely created one carving stroke at a time. Our goal is to achieve the best and highest quality we can provide while always staying true to the hand crafted art form.

My name is Dustin Strenke and I'm located in Cumberland Wisconsin, which is a very small rural town in the northwestern region of the state. I spend a lot of my time outdoors enjoying God's creation, which often times fuels my inspiration for future carvings. Woodworking has always been a part of my life, but I didn't pick up a gouge until my early twenties. One day I decided to try it and bought a set of gouges. The first buttery smooth gouge stroke through some soft basswood got me hooked. I've been carving for almost 10 years now and have been blessed to be able to create several custom carvings for wonderful people throughout the United States and Canada and I've been featured in a carving magazine known as, Woodcarving Illustrated. I'm very grateful for an opportunity to do what I love and I'm honored when I get to create a custom piece for those that appreciate the craft.
